Micro Loans

Access to financial services is a key element in the process of socio-economic empowerment of the financially under-served sections of the society. At Sikkim State Cooperative Bank we believe people should be allowed to take on reasonable small business loans safely and improve their livelihood opportunities and productivity.

Sikkim State Cooperative Bank encourages groups to take up small loans/micro-credit to facilitate livelihood activities and productivities. We also provide numerous training programmes under the financial literacy campaign to train the societies on how to better manage their financial resources. The members of the SHG are encouraged to save and internally lend the savings to members during times of need.

  • Women SHGs are Eligible for NRLM Interest Subvention.
  • Fast Track loan sanction for Women SHGs
  • Hassle-free repayment facilty in any of our branches
  • SHG should be in existence for at least 6 months
  • Group of 10-20 women
  • A minimum Savings/Corpus of Rs 5,000
  • Acceptable level of financial and administrative discipline in running of the SHG

SCC aims at providing adequate and timely credit i.e working capital or block capital or both to small artisans, handloom weavers, service sector, fishermen, self employed persons, other micro-entrepreneurs etc.

  • Purpose: for engagement of livelihood under the non farming activities
  • Loan amount: upto Rs 25,000.
  • Tenure : Sanctioned for the period of 12 months
  • Easy documentation and faster disbursement.
  • No prepayment charges.
  • MUST BE AN INDIVIDUAL OF AGE BETWEEN 21 YEARS TO 60 YEARS AT THE TIME OF LOAN SANCTION.

  • Consultaion for Cost-Benefit analysis for prepration of project report.
  • Unique projects which benefits the society can be forwarded to NABARD for funding.
